East Japan Railway Company Unveils Ultra Luxury Shiki-Shima Train Line

Japan has the best transit system in the world and it's getting more luxurious with the announcement of the Shiki-Shima train. The catch: tickets will cost between $3,000-$10,000 a piece. You get what you pay for, though. JR east will provide free transit from your home to the Shiki-Shima, which is stationed in Ueno, Japan. JR east will also provide complimentary luggage service between your home and your fancy suite on the train.

The Shiki-Shima train line was built specifically to highlight Japan's scenic east routes throughout the different seasons durign the year. So if you want to get a glimpse of Japan during Spring, Atummn or Winter, you'll be able to pick which ticket package you want for your favorite season. Check out the seasonal routes below.

Tickets are already sold out through March of 2018. JR West, which serves the west side of Japan, which includes Osaka, will debut their own luxury version the Twilight Express Mizukaze in June.
