Interactive Map of Japan Transports You to Famous and Off-the-Beaten-Path Locations

With so many diverse and scenic locations in Japan, it is impossible to visit everywhere. A new interactive and charmingly designed map allows users to click icons while hovering over them to be transported to certain Japanese cities or towns with a 360 degree view of the area. Popular locations include Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima. You can even catch a glimpse of some snow monkeys at Yudanaka, stand in the middle of the great Matsushima Bay in Miyagi or be at the top of Mount Aso in Kagoshima!

Another fun feature of the website is the “Random Location” generator at the bottom of the page which brings users to a map at random locations throughout Japan. After clicking this, a small map appears on the right side to show users exactly where the location they are now exploring is on Google Maps. The number of random locations include backstreets and famous attractions as well as other towns and big cities.

In addition to Japan, there are two other maps of Asia available for users to discover different countries. The maps enable users to see sights in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Burma, including inside caves and sacred places of prayer. Check the interactive map below!
