Perfume And OK Go To Release Collaborative Single

In January 2016, the anime Sushi Police began airing with a theme song with the familiar vocals of Perfume and the American band OK Go. It never got a release as a single and kind of quietly went away as Perfume began to push their new album, Cosmic Explorer.

However, in a joint announcement, the two groups have announced the release of the song, entitled "I Don't Understand You" for July 20th. This is the same day as the Blu-ray and DVD release of Sushi Police.

The song was composed by OK Go and arranged by Ysutaka Nakata, who is the leader of CAPSULE, which arranges Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's music, among others.

This is not the first time the two music groups have collaborated with each other. Perfume was a part of the music video for Ok Go's "I Won't Let You Down". Meanwhile, the OK Go guys appeared in Perfume's "Pick Me Up" video.

This is the first full international collaboration for Perfume, who has done limited work with outside artists in general. Both groups seem extremely excited for the collaboration. It is unknown at this time whether or not the two groups will be doing any more publicity events for the song, including the traditional appearance on the TV show Music Station or a special concert.
